Always and Forever

A group of stuffed animals, consisting of a fox, a leopard, a sea turtle, a bear, a goat, and a dragon, wait for their girl to come home so she can play with them. Turtle: She should be home by now. Is something wrong? Bear: Relax. Emily's probably just running a little late. It's happened before. Leopard: Besides, she promised that she'd play with us after she got back. Fox: I hear her! All: Emily!!! An adult woman enters the room, tosses down her things, and picks up and hugs one of the plushies. Emily: You wouldn't believe the day I had at work. Too bad you can't sell customers manners, huh? But it's the weekend, so who's up for a few rounds of Sugar Smash Derby? The toys cheer. The final panel shows Emily in casual clothes and eating cold cereal while playing against one of the toys in a video game, while the rest cuddle around her.

 Some friends you can count on always being there.
